Job Description
Facility: West Valley Medical Center
Need:CT -TECH
Shift: 11am to 11:30pm
Unit: Cath Lab Cost Center: 726
Start Date: asap
Length of Assignment: 12 Weeks
Unit Information: CT Department Location: West Valley Medical Center Address: 1717 Arlington Ave Floor: 1st floor Building: Main hospital campus General Information Tell us about the unit(s): • Number of scanners – two (2) CT scanners with shared workroom • Number of Staff – seven (7) FT CT employees; three (3) PRN CT employees • Shift for the Traveler – Wednesday-Friday, 11:00-23:30 • Type of staff: o Day/Night Shift – one (1) CT tech, 23:30-09:00; two (2) CT techs, 09:00-11:00 and 18:00-23:30; three (3) CT techs, 11:00-18:00 • Number of scans per month – 7/24: 1,162; 8/24: 1,283; 9/24: 1,115 • Type of equipment – GE Optima, GE Revolution EVO • EMR – Meditech; PACS: DR PACS (Merge) • On Call Requirements – 1-2 weekend days per month • Weekend Requirements – only as needed Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for: Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. • ARRT CT registry • Experience with GE scanning platform Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first. • Venipuncture certification • Experience with ER and inpatient exams, as well as outpatient List typical procedures performed on unit(s): • Routine and angiography CT (head, neck, spine, chest, abdomen, pelvis, extremity, etc.) • CCTA and pulmonary veins • Biopsies, drainages, chest tube, SI joint injections, etc. Best personality Fit: • Works well within a team, good communicator REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS: • ARRT CT registry Floating Area(s): • N/A Dress Code: • Scrub Color/Attire - Caribbean blue top; Caribbean blue or black pants Unit Guidelines/Policies: Please feel free to attach unit policies and guidelines. • Radiation Right, DoseWatch Weekends and On call.
