General Information
Tell us about the unit(s):
• Number of Beds - 25
• Number of Staff – 40+
• Type of staff:
o Day Shift – 1 free charge, 1 UC, 1 MT, 2 CNAs, 5 RNs
o Night Shift – 5RNS, 1 CNA, 1 MT
• Patient Ratios – 5:1, sometimes 6:1
• Type of equipment – Baxter IV pumps
• EMR - meditech
Typical hiring profile
Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)
Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
• BLS
•
Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.
• Meditech experience
• Telemetry experience
List typical procedures performed on unit(s):
• In addition to general med/surg competencies, it is preferred that applicants can
o Manage chest tubes
o Manage non-titrated Cardizem and Amiodorone drips
o Manage weight-based heparin drips
Dress Code: Include requirements, but most of all not acceptable attire.
• Scrub Color - Royal blue
