Job Description: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Location: San Jose, CA 95116

Position Type: Full-Time

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: Days

Hourly Pay: $45 - $50 (depending on experience)

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in San Jose, CA. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality speech and language therapy services. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping individuals improve their communication abilities and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations of speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and patient needs.
  • Provide direct therapy to individuals with speech and language disorders, utilizing evidence-based practices.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists, to provide comprehensive care.
  • Educate patients and their families on speech and language disorders, treatment plans, and strategies for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting treatment progress and outcomes.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to patient care planning.
  • Stay current with advancements in the field of speech-language pathology and incorporate new techniques and practices as appropriate.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in California.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
