Overtime Policy:

  • Daily OT after 24 hours (based on multiplier)

Position Overview

Grady Memorial Hospital is seeking an experienced and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join the 6B Medical/Surgical team. This travel nursing position offers an exciting opportunity to provide comprehensive patient care in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting while gaining valuable experience at a leading healthcare facility.


Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Care: Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to a diverse population of patients with a variety of medical and surgical conditions.
  • Medication Administration: Safely administer medications, monitor patient responses, and document interventions accurately.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Monitoring & Assessment: Continuously assess and monitor patient status, including vital signs, lab results, and clinical condition, and respond to changes appropriately.
  • Education: Educate patients and families about their medical conditions, post-discharge care, and preventive health practices.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using the hospital's electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Compliance: Follow all hospital protocols, policies, and procedures, including infection control and patient safety guidelines.
  • Professional Development: Stay updated on best practices and participate in ongoing training and educational opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Licensure: Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license in Georgia or compact state license.
  • Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience in a Med/Surg unit. Travel nursing experience is a plus.
  • Certifications: Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
