RN Med Surg Position in Austin, TX

• Pay Rate: $45 - $46/hr
• Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Certifications Required: BLS by AHA (Basic Life Support by the American Heart Association)
• Minimum Experience: 2 years

Job Description: An RN in the Med Surg unit provides care to patients recovering from surgeries or dealing with a variety of medical conditions. Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, developing care plans, administering medications, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure the highest level of care.

Requirements:

• At least two years of experience working as an RN in a Med Surg setting.
• Current BLS certification by the American Heart Association.
• Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patients in the Med Surg unit.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
• Document patient conditions and responses to treatment accurately and promptly.
• Educate patients and families on recovery processes and ongoing care needs.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
