Position: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)-Med-Surg

Location: 

• Job Description:-
•  Number of Beds - 44
• •Number of Staff –  46
• •Type of staff:
•   Day Shift – 1 charge out of staffing, RN’s and LPNs and tech and 1 secretary
•   Night Shift -  1 charge with patients rn’s LPNs and techs
• •Patient Ratios – 5-6:1 tech ratios 10-15:1
• •Type of equipment – Hoyer lifts, ivs, pegs, trachs, PD and wound care
• •EMR - yes
• Must have:  candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
• • SNF only background 
• Preferred or nice to have:  candidates with these skills will be considered first.
• • Med Surgical or Telemetry nurses 
• List typical procedures performed on unit(s):  
• •  Med pass and basic med surgical nursing

Responsibilities:  

• Monitor patients throughout their treatment.
• Perform routine checks of patients' vital signs.
• Ensure that patients take their medication.
• Assist doctors and registered nurses.
• Liaise with patients' families.

Must have:  candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

• SNF only background
• Trauma experience
• Telemetry experience
• EMR -  Meditech

Specialized aspects of care on unit / management of:

•  Complex wounds
•  Administration of blood products
• Pain management
• Tubes & drains – NG, PEG, feeding tubes, surgical drains
• Chest tubs

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:

2 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN A HOSPITAL SETTING REQUIRED

MUST HAVE ACTIVE COMPACT LICENSE AT SUBMISSION

• BLS
• SSN
• Covid Card
• DL

Requirements:

• Active LPN license.
• Ability to work flexible hours.
• COVID Vaccination/ Valid CPR/ Health Documents/ License/ Physical
