Job Description
POSITION SUMMARYThe Pharmacist Staff – Retail Pharmacy ensures medications are procured, prepared, dispensed, and administered safely and legally. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES ● Proficient in pharmacy practice including but not limited to the following areas: a. Retail dispensing b. Home health aids ● Performs other related prescription activities such as taking verbal prescriptions, filling of prescriptions, dispensing and verbal consultation. ● Performs and/or supervises pharmaceutical compounding activities. ● Provides clinical pharmacy services, including medical history collection, therapeutic drug monitoring, pharmacokinetic dosing consultations, drug information and education. ● Participates in and follows standards of departmental quality control and quality assurance programs. ● Oversees inventory control activities such as monitoring inventory levels, ordering, receiving, stocking and shipping. ● Supervises pharmacy interns and technicians. ● Willingly follows and supports all policies and procedures required under Medicare Accreditation. ● Input and process prescriptions ● Correct prescriptions ● Counsel patients ● Administer vaccines. ● Perform other related duties as needed. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS – Required qualifications to effectively perform job. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered. ● Professional Pharmacy degree required. Doctorate preferred. ● Wisconsin Pharmacist license required or temporary Wisconsin Pharmacist license required while obtaining active Pharmacist license that must be obtained within 60 days of receiving temporary license. ● Must hold and maintain Wisconsin Pharmacist license. ● BLS certification required. ● 1+ years related work experience required.
Shift: Monday-Friday 8am-6pm or 9am-7pm & every 3rd Saturday 8am-1pm
