Job Title: X-Ray Tech

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Company: United Healthcare System

Job Type: Permanent

Shift: Afternoon shift

Salary: $43.00 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Perform Diagnostic Imaging: Position patients and operate X-ray equipment to capture clear and accurate images for diagnostic purposes.
• Ensure Patient Safety: Implement radiation protection measures and use proper shielding to minimize exposure and ensure patient safety during procedures.
• Maintain Image Quality: Evaluate and adjust imaging techniques to ensure high-quality diagnostic images and troubleshoot issues with equipment as needed.
• Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals: Work with radiologists and other medical staff to review and discuss imaging results, and follow up on additional imaging needs.
• Follow Safety and Compliance Protocols: Adhere to safety regulations and infection control practices to meet healthcare standards and legal requirements.
• Assist and Reassure Patients: Help patients with positioning and mobility, explain procedures to alleviate anxiety, and provide support throughout the imaging process.
• Manage Administrative Tasks: Handle scheduling, record-keeping, and billing tasks related to imaging procedures, ensuring accurate documentation and efficient workflow.

Requirements:

• ARRT Certificate.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
