Job Description
Job Title: Respiratory Therapist
Location: Tusla, OK
Job Type: Contact on W2
Shift Type: 7a - 7p and Rotation every other weekends
Pay : 55-60$/hr
Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing patients with respiratory disorders or conditions and implementing therapeutic interventions to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments to determine respiratory care needs.
- Develop and implement respiratory care plans based on physician orders and patient assessments.
- Perform diagnostic tests such as spirometry, arterial blood gas analysis, and pulse oximetry.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust therapies as necessary.
- Educate patients and their families about respiratory conditions and treatments.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Respond to emergency situations involving respiratory compromise.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Current certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).
- State licensure as required by law.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification may be required.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of respiratory care techniques and equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize patient care tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting.
- Experience with mechanical ventilation and critical care patients.
- Continuing education or specialized certifications in respiratory therapy.
