Job Description: Physical Therapist - Outpatient Pediatric Location
Location: Placentia, CA 92870
Shift: Days
Pay: $50 to $55 hourly on W2
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Physical Therapist to join our outpatient pediatric team in Placentia, CA. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality physical therapy services to children with a variety of conditions, promoting optimal physical functioning and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assess the physical therapy needs of pediatric patients.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results and specific patient needs.
- Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques and modalities to improve motor skills, strength, coordination, and overall physical function.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, home exercises, and strategies to promote recovery and physical health.
- Document patient progress and treatment outcomes in accordance with professional standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized treatment area.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to stay current with best practices in pediatric physical therapy.
Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist in California.
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in pediatric physical therapy, preferably in an outpatient setting.
- Strong understanding of child development and pediatric conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and team members.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
