Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Cath Lab RN to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide expert nursing care during cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures, collaborating closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This role requires strong clinical skills, the ability to remain calm under pressure, and a commitment to patient safety and quality care.

Duties

• Monitor and assess patients' cardiac and hemodynamic status before, during, and after procedures.
• Administer medications, sedatives, and IV fluids as prescribed.
• Assist the cardiologist during catheterization and angioplasty procedures, ensuring sterile conditions.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and respond to any complications or emergencies.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in electronic health record systems like Epic or Meditech.
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and patient safety standards.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and workflow efficiency.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab RN in a hospital or acute care setting.
• Experience with cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, and other cardiovascular procedures.
• Must have completed two years of acute care experience within the last 3 years.
• Requires detailed knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, disease processes and principles of cardiovascular diagnostic and interventional technology.

Requirements

• Active New Mexico RN license or compact license.
• BLS, ACLS & PALS certifications required.
