Job Description: Perm Speech Language Pathologist
Location: Jesup, GA 31545
Shift: 8 AM to 5 PM (35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, no weekend rotation)
Facility: 72-bed facility
Salary Range: $44.08 - $48.44 hourly on W2
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at a 72-bed facility in Jesup, GA. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive speech and language therapy services to patients, helping them improve their communication and swallowing abilities. This position offers a stable work schedule with no weekend rotations, allowing for a balanced work-life integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patients' specific needs.
- Provide therapy to patients of all ages, focusing on improving communication skills and swallowing functions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on speech and language disorders and the therapy process.
- Document patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes accurately and timely.
- Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to patient care planning.
- Stay updated with the latest research and developments in speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Georgia.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a hospital or rehabilitation facility.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
