• Location: Honolulu, HI 96817
• Job Type: 13 Weeks Contract
• Pay Rate/Salary: $40 an hour
• Shifts: 40 hrs. / week, work every weekend, rotating shifts
• Start Date: ASAP
• Positions Available: 04

Responsibilities:

Basic Patient Care:

• Assisting patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Helping patients with mobility, including turning, repositioning, and transferring them from beds to wheelchairs.
• Feeding patients who need assistance and ensuring they have adequate hydration.

Vital Signs Monitoring:

• Measuring and recording vital signs like temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and respiration rate.
• Reporting any significant changes in vital signs to the nursing staff.

Patient Observation and Reporting:

• Observing patients' conditions and behaviors and reporting any changes or concerns to the nursing team.
• Documenting care provided and patients' responses in medical records.

Assisting with Medical Procedures:

• Preparing patients for medical procedures and examinations.
• Assisting RNs and doctors during procedures, such as setting up equipment and providing patient support.

Maintaining a Clean and Safe Environment:

• Keeping patient rooms clean and organized.
• Ensuring that medical equipment is sanitized and properly stored.
• Following infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infections.

Emotional Support and Communication:

• Providing emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families.
• Communicating effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure coordinated care.

Transporting Patients:

• Assisting with transporting patients to different departments within the hospital for tests, procedures, or transfers.

Specimen Collection:

• Collecting specimens for laboratory tests, such as urine, stool, or sputum samples, as directed by the nursing staff.

Assisting with Pain Management:

• Helping to manage patients' pain by providing comfort measures and reporting pain levels to the nursing staff.

Emergency Response:

• Responding to emergency situations by following established protocols and providing basic life support until further help arrives.

Experience & Requirements:

• Active CNA license for the state of Hawaii is required
• Minimum one years of CNA Acute experience preferred
• Current BLS from AHA.
• Must be fully vaccinated or valid Covid exemptions
