Position: Phlebotomist

Facility:  Trinity Health

Duration: 13 Week

Location:  Ann Arbor MI 48106

Pay on W2: $25 Per Hour

Shift: 8AM to 5PM

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Collect blood: Phlebotomists draw blood from patients or donors using a needle and syringe, or through a finger stick. 

• Explain the procedure: Phlebotomists help patients feel calm and relaxed by explaining the blood-drawing process. 

• Label samples: Phlebotomists label the collected blood for testing or processing. 

• Enter data: Phlebotomists enter sample information into a database. 

• Maintain equipment: Phlebotomists assemble, maintain, and dispose of medical instruments like needles, test tubes, and blood vials. 

• Keep work areas clean: Phlebotomists keep their work areas and equipment clean and sanitary. 

• Follow safety rules: Phlebotomists follow all laboratory safety rules and report any possible hazards. 

• Work with a team: Phlebotomists may work with nurses, healthcare science staff, biomedical scientists, GPs, and other healthcare staff.
