• Position: Tech: Surgical Tech - OR Tech
• Location:  Chandler, AZ, 85224
• Pay Rate: $35- $36/hour
• Gross Weekly: $1,314/week
• Shift : Days - 12hr shifts(0600-1830/ 8a-8:30p + Weeknight, weekend call + holidays in rotation with core staff)
• Work Week: 36 hours per week
• Duration: 13 weeks (high Possibility of contract extension)
• Start Date: ASAP

Techs: CSTs, do not need to be certified.

Unit Notes:--

• Clinical profile review then to manager for a phone interview.
• ***Prophecy Dysrhythmia Exam required prior to submittal. Maximum attempts is 2. If exam is failed, they will be made a DNU for 6 months for CSH AZ and Sac regions***
• ** NEEDS EXPERIENCE W/ RECOVERY OF CRITICAL CARE PATIENTS **
• Charting System: Cerner
• Trauma Level: 1
• Units: OR / CVOR / PACU - these are combined unit notes for RNs and Techs
• # of Suites: OR - 13 suites / CVOR - 3 suites / PreOp, PostOp with Phase 2
• Ratio: PACU 1:2; ICU Post Op 1:1; Isolation 1:1
• EMR: Cerner and Surginet
• Cases: OR - 1200-1300 cases per month CVOR - 50-51 cases per month'
• Charge Nurse: Yes, over all areas.
• Weekend Requirement: Call 2 RNs 2 Techs on weekend once per month. 2 call evenings, 10:30p – 6:30a per month. 1 weekend call either 6p-6a or 7p-7a
• Holidays: Worked into rotation with core staff.
• Scrub Color: Provided
• RT 24/7: Yes
• Pharmacy 24/7: Yes
• Shifts: 12hr shifts. 8a-8:30p
• Floating: Most travelers will not work CVOR
• Common diagnosis / Types of patients’ Common cases: Ortho, Neuro, Robotics, Laparoscopic, General Surgery, Bariatric, Cranis, DNCs, Tubals, Eyes (rare). C-sections are done in OB.
• Additional Notes: 630a - 830p active OR time. Hospital is 24/7 Trauma.

Required Certifications:

• BLS only for OR Techs; BLS, ACLS for RNs & must circulate. Scrub is a plus. PACU RN - BLS, ACLS, PALS'
• AZ License (Willing to Wait)
• SSN, DL & Covid Card required for Submittal.
• 2 Professional References( Recent & Supervisory)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Surgical Preparation: Ensure operating rooms are sterile and properly equipped.
2. Assisting in Surgery: Assist surgeons by passing instruments, maintaining sterile fields, and handling surgical materials.
3. Patient Care: Support the patient pre and post-surgery, ensuring comfort and safety.
4. Equipment Management: Clean and sterilize equipment and instruments.
5. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of procedures and supplies used during surgery.

Qualifications:

• 2 years experience in surgical settings preferred.
• Scrub is a Plus
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a sterile environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
