Job Title: Patient Care Technician

Location: West Burlington, IA, 52655

Company: United Healthcare System

Job Type: 13 Weeks 

Shift: Night shift, 10:30 PM - 7:00 AM 

Salary: $25.00 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Monitoring patients: PCTs observe patients' conditions and report any changes to the healthcare team.
• Taking vital signs: PCTs take and record patients' vital signs.
• Assisting with basic needs: PCTs help patients with daily tasks like bathing, dressing, and feeding. They also help patients with mobility and exercise.
• Collecting specimens: PCTs collect blood, urine, and stool samples for testing.
• Performing basic medical procedures: PCTs may perform basic nursing procedures like administering medications. They may also perform electrocardiograms (EKGs).
• Providing emotional support: PCTs provide emotional support to patients.
• Maintaining records: PCTs maintain accurate patient records.
• Keeping patient rooms clean: PCTs keep patient rooms clean and organized.
• Escorting patients: PCTs may escort patients to x-rays or discharge.
