Job Description

• Position: Med-Tec(Medical Tech)
• Location: Santa Maria, CA, 93454
• Pay Rate: $75- $76 per hour (Negotiable)
• Gross Weekly: $3,063/week
• Shift : Days(40 hours per week-- 8x5 )
• Duration: 13 weeks (high Possibility of contract extension)
• Shift Notes: Hospital may cancel up to 3 times per contract. Each cancellation could be a full shift or any part of a shift. (Hospital may also pay full hours for a particular shift, in lieu of cancellation).

Unit notes:

• Unit: PET/CT
• Unit Type: Nuclear Medicine
• Cahrting System: Cerner
• Trauma Level: 3 - Acute Care Setting

Responsibilities:

• Conduct a variety of complex laboratory tests, analyses, and procedures to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment.
• Perform tasks such as specimen collection, processing, and analysis using sophisticated laboratory equipment.
• Ensure accuracy and precision in laboratory test results by adhering to quality control standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret test results and provide valuable insights.
• Stay updated on advancements in laboratory technology and methodologies.
• Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.

Requirements:

• BLS( American Heart Association)
• BSN  (NOT REQUIRED)
• Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLS) or equivalent.
• State licensure as required.
• Strong attention to detail and proficiency in laboratory techniques.
• Knowledge of laboratory information systems and data management.
