Job Description
JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE Performs a wide range of secretarial, reception, and clerical support to ensure efficient operation of the department. DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION Samaritan Health Plans (SHP) operates a portfolio of health plan products under several different legal structures: InterCommunity Health Plans, Inc. (IHN) is designated as a regional Coordinated Care Organization (CCO) for Medicaid beneficiaries; Samaritan Health Plans, Inc. offers Medicare Advantage, Commercial Large Group, and Commercial Large Group PPO and EPO plans; SHP is also the third-party administrator for Samaritan Health Services’ self-funded employee health benefit plan. As part of an Integrated Delivery System, Samaritan Health Plans is strategically and operationally aligned with Samaritan Health Services’ mission of Building Healthier Communities Together. NOTE: This position is NOT remote. The manager is looking for LOCAL Travelers to fill this role. This is a 60 day contract. Needed ASAP. EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS Experience and/or training with computer applications required. Two (2) years experience in a position of similar complexity and responsibility required or equivalent college level course work. One (1) year experience in a position that includes interacting with the public in an office reception, clinic, or over the phone is preferred. Experience and/or training with medical terminology preferred.
