Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Location: Inglewood, CA

Job Type: PRN 

Shift: Days

Hourly Pay: $45 to $50 (W2)

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our healthcare team in Inglewood, CA. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to our patients, supporting their physical rehabilitation under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT). This PRN position offers a flexible schedule, primarily during daytime hours, and competitive hourly pay ranging from $40 to $45 on a W2 basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Physical Therapists in implementing treatment plans to improve patient mobility, relieve pain, and increase strength.
  • Instruct, motivate, and assist patients in performing various physical activities and exercises.
  • Monitor patients' progress during therapy sessions and report findings to the supervising PT.
  • Document patient care services and progress in accordance with healthcare regulations and facility policies.
  • Educate patients and their families on at-home exercises and therapeutic techniques to aid in recovery.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure a cohesive and supportive treatment experience.
  • Stay updated with the latest physical therapy techniques and industry standards.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Current California state PTA license.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Prior experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and move patients as required for therapy sessions.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and reaching during therapy sessions.
  • Manual dexterity and physical stamina to perform tasks and operate therapy equipment.
