  • Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in Patient Treatment – Work under the supervision of physical therapists to implement therapy programs aimed at improving patients’ mobility, strength, and function.

    Monitor Patient Progress – Observe patients during treatments and assist in modifying treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal progress and outcomes.

    Patient Education – Educate patients on exercises and techniques to help them continue improving outside of therapy sessions and maintain their recovery.

    Collaborate with Healthcare Teams – Work closely with physical therapists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care for patients.

    Accurate Documentation – Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient progress and therapy sessions, in compliance with facility guidelines.

    Engage in Lifelong Learning – Participate in team meetings and continuing education to stay updated on the latest physical therapy techniques and best practices.

  • Qualifications
  • Education – Associate’s degree in Physical Therapist Assisting from an accredited program.

    Licensure – Valid California Physical Therapist Assistant License (Required).

    Experience – Skilled nursing facility experience preferred but not required.

    Skills – Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with a patient-focused approach to care.
