Join Our Team: RN – Labor and Delivery Role with Evolve Healthcare

Location: Monterey, CA

Start Date: 12/30/2024

Employment Type: L&D Travel RN

Shift: Night shifts

Pay: $3,367.00 per week

Expected Hours: 36- hours per week

Unit Notes

12/30 START DATE

***NICOTINE FREE facility, included in drug screen***

REQUIRED: 1) A minimum of 5 years of L&D experience (outside of their training).

2) Must have traveling experience (minimum 3 travel assignments).

3) Comfortable with EPIC charting.

4) Comfortable with circulating in the OR (and it’s a bonus if they can Scrub but not necessary).

5) Experience with LDRP and MBC. *please check your profile, make sure LDRP experience is detailed out on resume, will not accept straight LD experience on resume. this is a mother/baby couplet care labor and delivery environment. See me for questions.

***ALSO if  NIGHT SHIFT: Scrubbing is required!!*** 36 hour guarantees:

*This unit will not accommodate blocked scheduling

**must have 3-5 years travel experience**

Please read all below notes regarding the unit

*105 births per month on average*

*No first time travelers*

**Current NRP, BLS, ACLS, ADVANCED AWHONN

Floating Requirements Will be required to work L&D, PP, PACU (only recovering mothers), & to circulate in the OR throughout their assignment & shift, may float to mother baby overflow unit , no post-op GYN on postpartum side.could be floated to be a sitter if needed.

Must have strong skills in all areas of LDRP and be willing and engaged to go to either side.

Scrub Color/Dress code Provided Unit/Department specific orientation 3 shifts Additional Notes Must be able to run on own with limited staff, must be confident, competent, professional, & quick on feet. Do not have midwives or midlevels so must be able to manage entire labor process.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Monitor fetal heart rates, maternal vital signs, and labor progression.
  2. Assist in the delivery process, including C-sections and complicated births.
  3. Provide postpartum care and newborn assessments.
  4. Educate patients and families on newborn care and postpartum recovery.
  5. Ensure accurate documentation of patient care and interventions.

Qualifications

  • Active RN license in the state of practice.
  • Minimum of 3-5years of labor and delivery experience preferred.
  • AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AFM), BLS (AHA), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • Strong communication and critical-thinking skills.
