Job Description
Position: Registered Nurse - Endoscopy (RN Endoscopy)
Location: Long Beach, CA, 90813
Pay Scale: $64 to $70 per hour
Shift: 8 hour variable day shifts with call
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures.
- Prepare and monitor patients before, during, and after procedures, ensuring optimal comfort and safety.
- Administer sedation and monitor vital signs throughout procedures.
- Assist physicians during endoscopic procedures by managing equipment and ensuring a sterile environment.
- Educate patients and their families on pre- and post-procedure care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting care provided and patient progress.
- Adhere to safety protocols and infection control standards at all times.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (RN) Licensure: Active and unencumbered license.
- Experience: Prior experience in endoscopy, gastroenterology, or a related field preferred.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Strong communication and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
