Job Title: Occupational Therapy Assistant (LTC)
Location: Rolla, MO, 65401
Shift: Monday to Friday, 8-hour days
Duration: 13 weeks
Pay Rate: $30 to $35 hourly on W2
Job Description:
Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our team in a long-term care (LTC) facility in Rolla, MO. The ideal candidate will assist in providing comprehensive occupational therapy services to residents, aimed at improving their quality of life and enabling them to achieve their highest functional capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
- Conduct therapy sessions to improve patients' physical, emotional, and developmental capabilities.
- Use therapeutic techniques and activities to improve patients' daily living skills and overall well-being.
- Monitor and document patients' progress, modifying treatment plans as needed.
- Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and therapeutic activities.
- Ensure compliance with facility policies and state and federal regulations.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to patient care planning.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Current and valid state OTA license in Missouri.
- BLS certification.
- Experience in a long-term care or similar setting is required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
