Job Description
Job Title: Ultrasound Technician (13-Week Contract, 7 Days On/Off)
Location: Uintah Basin Medical Center, 210 W 300 N, Roosevelt, UT 84066
Job Summary:
Uintah Basin Medical Center is hiring a qualified Ultrasound Technician for a 13-week contract to provide high-quality diagnostic radiology and ultrasound services. The ideal candidate will be ARDMS board-eligible and committed to accurate imaging for effective patient diagnosis and care. Responsibilities include conducting ultrasound exams, managing departmental inventory, maintaining imaging area standards, and delivering patient-centered service.
Position Details:
- Schedule: 7 days on/7 days off, with weekend and weeknight graveyard shifts
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks, starting on 12/23/2024
- Holiday Coverage: Required
- Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Cerner
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality diagnostic radiology and ultrasound exams in accordance with hospital protocols
- Maintain technical competency in ultrasound and radiology procedures and ensure image quality
- Assist with department policy development, inventory management, and supply ordering
- Keep imaging areas clean and organized while building positive relationships with patients and physicians
- Ensure accurate documentation, image evaluation, and record-keeping
Qualifications:
- Certification: ARDMS board-eligible; ARDMS(AB) preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS/BCLS): Required
- Experience: Less than 1 year required; cross-training available for suitable candidates
- State License: Not needed
- Bilingual: Not required
