• Position: Tech: CST Cardio OR (Cardiovascular Operating Room)
• Location:  Santa Maria, CA 93454
• Pay Rate: $48- $50 per hour
• Gross Weekly: $2,090/week
• Work Week: 40 hours per week(4x10 hours- 11a-9:30p)
• Duration: 13 weeks (high Possibility of contract extension)

Unit Guidelines/Policies:

• **Medical Solutions Clinical Team will pre-screen all candidates. Managers will do 2nd interview**
• PAY OT after 40 hours/week. (RC = 40 reg hours)
• BILL OT after 40 hours/week. (RC = OT rate in OT field)
• FLAT RATE FOR ALL OT (RC=SAME RATE IN OT AS IN REG)

• # of cases per day : 18-20
• Certs/Tech certified: BLS; CST preferred for Techs
• Ratios: 1:1; 2:1
• EMR: Cerner 
• Charge Nurse: YES - OR techs: YES
• Weekend Requirement - RN's: NO
• Weekend Requirement - CST's: NO
• Call Requirement - RN's: YES. Some nights and weekends; 1 week nights per week. 2, 12 hour weekend call shifts a month

• What is call response time: 30 MIN

• Surgeon on call hours: 24-7

Key Responsibilities:

1. Surgical Preparation: Ensure operating rooms are sterile and properly equipped.
2. Assisting in Surgery: Assist surgeons by passing instruments, maintaining sterile fields, and handling surgical materials.
3. Patient Care: Support the patient pre and post-surgery, ensuring comfort and safety.
4. Equipment Management: Clean and sterilize equipment and instruments.
5. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of procedures and supplies used during surgery.

Qualifications:

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required.
• 2 years of experience in surgical settings preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a sterile environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
