Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Long-Term Care (LTC)
Location: Mansfield, TX
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Days
Hourly Pay: $35 to $40
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team for a 13-week contract position in Mansfield, TX. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing high-quality care in a long-term care (LTC) setting and will be comfortable working under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of patient treatment plans designed by the supervising physical therapist.
- Provide direct therapy services to patients, including therapeutic exercises, functional training, and mobility exercises.
- Monitor and document patient progress, making adjustments to treatment as necessary under the direction of the physical therapist.
- Educate patients and their families on exercises and techniques to aid in the continuation of therapy outside of scheduled sessions.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure the highest standard of care is provided.
- Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
- Adhere to all professional, ethical, and legal standards in the delivery of care.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Required.
- Active Texas PTA license or Compact State license – Required.
- Experience working in a long-term care (LTC) setting – Preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement.
