Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

Location: Elk River, MN 55330

Job type: Full time permanet position

Hourly Range: $20.00 - $26.00 (based on years of experience)

Salary Range: $41,600 - $54,080

Shift: Day/Evenings, 72 Hours Per Pay Period

Job Description:

As a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) in Elk River, MN, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality healthcare services to patients. Your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Patient Care:

   • Greeting and escorting patients to examination rooms.
   • Taking vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
   • Assisting healthcare providers during examinations and procedures.
   • Performing basic medical procedures as directed by healthcare providers.
   • Administering medications as prescribed by physicians.

2. Administrative Duties:

   • Updating patient medical records accurately and efficiently.
   • Scheduling appointments and coordinating patient referrals.
   • Handling phone calls, inquiries, and messages from patients and other healthcare professionals.
   • Managing medical supplies and ensuring adequate stock levels.

3. Compliance and Documentation:

   • Adhering to all relevant healthcare regulations, including HIPAA.
   • Ensuring accuracy and completeness of all medical documentation and records.
   • Following established protocols and procedures for medical tasks.

4. Collaboration:

   • Working closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
   • Communicating effectively with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.

5. Patient Education:

   • Providing patients with information about their health conditions, medications, and treatment plans.
   • Offering guidance on preventive care and healthy lifestyle choices.

Qualifications:

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a medical assisting program preferred.
• Previous experience working as a medical assistant in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
• Proficiency in medical terminology and basic computer skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
