Job Opportunity: RN PCU Acute Care in Brevard, NC

• Position: RN: PCU 
• Location: Brevard, NC
• Pay Rate: $48-$49 per hour
• Work Week: 36 hours per week
• Duration: 13 weeks

Your Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (PCU).
• Monitor and assess cardiac patients' conditions, administering medications and treatments as necessary.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive patient care plans.
• Perform cardiac monitoring, interpret EKGs, and respond to changes in patients' conditions.
• Educate patients and their families on cardiac health management and post-treatment care.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.

• Titratable Drip competence
• Tele experience
• ICU competence
• IV start experience

List typical procedures performed on unit(s):  

• 12 lead EKGs 
• Phlebotomy, IV starts

Unit Specifics:

• Number of Beds - 30
• Number of Staff – 50

Type of staff:

• Day Shift – 1 charge/4 RNs/2-3 PCTs

Patient Ratios – ICU: 1: 1-3; SD 1:4; MS 1: 5-6

Type of equipment – Baxter IV pumps; Kangaroo feeding pumps; GE telemetry

• EMR - Cerner

Ability to Relocate:

• Brevard, NC Relocate before starting work (Required)

Work Location: In person

Requirements:

• RN NC Compact or State License.
• Experience in Cardiac Progressive Care or similar unit.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. ACLS
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills.
• COVID Vaccination/ Valid CPR/ Health Documents/ License/ Physical
