Location: Parma, OH 44134
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Shift: Days, 8-hour shift
Hourly Salary: $28.85 - $33.65
Annual Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 depends on licensure
Job Description:
As a Permanent Therapist in our Residential Treatment facility in Parma, OH, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality mental health services to our clients. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive therapeutic care aimed at improving the mental and emotional well-being of individuals in a residential setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments to identify the mental health needs of clients. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings.
- Therapeutic Intervention: Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions using evidence-based therapeutic approaches. Address a wide range of mental health issues, including trauma, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and other related disorders.
- Crisis Intervention: Respond to and manage mental health crises within the residential setting. Provide immediate support and intervention as needed.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, case managers, and social workers, to ensure integrated and comprehensive care for clients.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.
- Education & Support: Educate clients and their families about mental health issues, treatment options, and coping strategies. Provide support and resources to help clients achieve their treatment goals.
- Compliance: Ensure all services are provided in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as organizational policies and procedures.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in mental health treatment.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Must hold a valid and current license to practice as a therapist in the state of Ohio (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT).
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a residential treatment setting or related field preferred. Experience working with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness is a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
