We here at Evolve Healthcare are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional patient care in a critical care setting. Desired Start Date 11/28th

Job Information:

• Unit: OR
• # Suites: 4 OR suite (typically run 3); 1 endo suite
•  Average # of cases per day: 20-21
•  Required Certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS?): BLS, ACLS (as of current)
• Common Cases: Ortho heavy (2 ortho rooms per day), hips/knees/shoulders, ortho spine, TLIF, hernias, lap chole, OB, GYN, hysteroscopy, hysterectomy, urology, cysto, prostate, ENT (2 times per month, peds case), tubes/ tonsils/adenoids, endo
• Scrubbing required - RN's: No
• Charge Nurse/House Supervisor: No house sup (coordinator available as needed). Charge nurse in the OR. Charge nurse assists as a backup, assists with flow, charges, etc.
• OR techs: Yes
• EMR: Meditech
• Weeknight/Call Requirements: 5:30p-7a; 4 days a month.
• Weekend/Call Requirements:            7-7. 24-hour call. 1 weekend day a month (at least) (Saturday or Sunday).
• Holiday/Call Requirements: Department is closed on major holidays. On-call as needed.
• What is call response time? 30 minutes
• Floating Requirements: Would like someone who is able to float to PACU (tasking) - not required.
• Scrub Color/Dress Code:       Provided

 Duties

• Prepares patients for surgery and addresses their concerns
• Ensures the operating room is sterile
• Secures necessary supplies and instruments for surgery
• Hands over medical supplies to attending surgeons during operations
• Monitors patients’ physical and emotional well-being throughout the care continuum
• Observes patient vital signs
• Informs attending surgeon of issues and anomalies

Required Qualifications

• 2 years or more inter-operative experience
• 2 years of surgical experience
• Valid RN WA State or Compact license
• BLS & Covid Card mandatory
• 1 year of Ortho & Endo experience
• At least 2 years acute care experience.
