Job Description

Position: Respiratory Therapist

Location: Devils Lake, ND

Pay Scale: $2,000 to $2,200/week

Shift: Days

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert respiratory care to patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Assess and monitor patients' respiratory status, including lung sounds, oxygen saturation, and blood gas levels.
• Administer respiratory therapies, including nebulizers, oxygen therapy, CPAP/BiPAP, mechanical ventilation, and airway management.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop individualized care plans based on patient needs.
• Assist with intubation, extubation, and other airway management procedures.
• Educate patients and their families on respiratory conditions and proper use of respiratory equipment.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and responses.
• Respond to emergent situations, providing life-saving interventions as necessary.
• Ensure all equipment is maintained, sanitized, and functioning properly.

Requirements:

• Current Respiratory Therapist (RT) licensure.
• Certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) preferred.
• Proven experience in delivering respiratory therapy in hospital or clinical settings.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
• Strong clinical knowledge and ability to assess patient conditions accurately.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
