Travel Registered Nurse (RN)

13 Weeks 

Required: AK RN license, BLS, ACLS, & PALS (we are a multi specialty center, pals is required)

Shift: Monday through Friday, no weekends, no holidays, some possible overtime. 0645--1515

; Cell Location: Alaska Surgery Center Address: 1230 Northway Drive, Anchorage, AK 99508 Floor: 1st Building: Stand Alone Ambulatory Surgery Center   General Information Tell us about the unit(s): •       Number of Beds – 8 Operating Rooms and 23 Pre-op/PACU Bays •       Number of Staff – •       Shift for the Traveler --- Monday thru Friday between 0645 – 1730 hours •       Type of staff: o   1RN and 1 Surgical Technician per room with relief team for breaks and lunches o   1-2 assigned late crews for cases going past 1530 hours •       Type of equipment – all equipment associated with out-patient day surgery •       EMR – We do not use an EMR Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most Recruited for:    Must have:  candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. •       Experience as a circulating Nurse with at least 1 year of OR experience •       Knowledge of different surgical specialties Preferred or nice to have:  candidates with these skills will be considered first. •       Ability to scrub on certain cases •       Ability to provide conscious sedation or a willingness to learn List typical procedures performed in the ORs:   •       Standard Out-patient surgeries such as Orthopedic, Plastics, eyes, ENT, General, Urology, Pain, Podiatry    Best personality Fit: •       Team player with the willingness to put the patient and surgeon’s needs before personal desires. REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS: •       RN license to work in the State of Alaska •       ACLS, PALS, BLS Floating Area(s): •       We are affiliated with three out-patient surgery centers within a few miles of each other and there might be a need in the other ASCs as well. Dress Code: •       Scrubs and mandatory PPE; all of which is provided. No nail polish or and fragrances.       Unit Guidelines/Policies: Please feel free to attach unit policies and guidelines. •       Standard P&Ps; to be reviewed upon onboarding with our facility.   Weekends and on-call (if any): •       Not Applicable; we only work Monday thru Friday
