Shift: 7 AM - 7 PM, 48 hours scheduled per week, with a 46-hour weekly guarantee

Experience Required:

• 2+ years of experience in Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF) or Long Term Care (LTC) as an LPN
• Travel nursing experience is desired

Certification Requirements: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)

State License Requirements: Active Michigan LPN/LVN license

Job Description:

We are seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a specialty in Long Term Care (LTC) for a 13-week contract in Wakefield, MI. This position offers a competitive pay rate of $59 per hour, with 48 hours scheduled per week and a 46-hour weekly guarantee. The shift is from 7 AM to 7 PM.

In this role, you will provide high-quality care to residents in a long-term care setting, focusing on enhancing their quality of life. You will be responsible for administering medications, assisting with daily activities, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for the residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care to residents in a long-term care facility.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
• Monitor residents’ health status and report any changes to the healthcare team.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of nursing care.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.

Qualifications:

• Valid LVN/LPN license in the state of Michigan.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF) or Long Term Care (LTC).
• Previous travel nursing experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
