Job Description

• Position: Sterile Tech: OR (Operating Room)
• Location: Enumclaw, WA 98022
• Pay Rate: $42/hr
• Shift: Days(830a-5p with weekend call-Saturday and Sunday call every other weekend from 7 to 3:30 pm)
• Work Week: 40 hours per week
• Gross weekly: $1,709/week
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start: 30th Dec 2024

• Unit Sterile Processing
• Required Certifications Iahcsmm certification
• Common Cases Orthopedic (total Joints included), C-Sections, GYN, General, Podiatry, Pain procedures, GI scope procedures
• Department covered/ #suits 2 OR’s daily
• Experience or 'Must have' skills GI scope cleaning skills, ability to work independently
• Duties decontamination as well as tray assembly, scope washer skills
• Common equipment to disinfect/common supplies to sterilize
• Manager/Lead Tech One lead 8 hour shifts five days per week. One techs work 4 ten hour shifts, need to work independently after lead leaves and be put in lead role.
• Shifts & Scheduling Change to 5 days per week, 8 hour shifts. One shift 0600-1430; one shift 0830-1700
• Weeknight/Call Requirement No weeknight call
• Weekend/Call Requirement Saturday and Sunday call every other weekend from 7 to 3:30 pm
• Holiday Requirement Shared rotated holidays Is there a mandatory call/standby requirement? Yes, every other weekend
• Floating Requirements No floating requirements
• Scrub Color/Dress Code Hospital scrubs provided and required
• Unit/Department specific orientation Customized orientation for travelers with two existing techs (one is lead) Expectations are to be oriented within two weeks

Requirements:

• BLS is not required,
• Certified Sterile Processing Technician (CSPDT) via CBSPD
• Iahcsmm certification
• decontamination as well as tray assembly, scope washer skills
• Knowledge of sterilization techniques and equipment.
