Job Description

Position: Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical (Med Surg)

Location: Chattanooga, TN 37404

Pay scale: $1800/Week

Shift: 7:00 PM- 7:00 AM

General Information

Unit Specifics:

•Number of Beds : 30

•Patient Ratios : 1:6

•Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : Clinical Coordinators, Unit Secretary, PCTs, Case Management

•Type of equipment : walkers, iv pumps, scd’s, etc

•Documentation system: Meditech

•Scheduling requirements: 4 weekend shifts per 28 day schedule, fall into holiday rotation.

•Floating policy: Fall into rotation with other staff

•Patient Experience requirements: 72% - utilizing communication boards

Requested Skill Set: RN license

 

Must have: teamwork, compassion, collaboration and communication skills

Advanced skills needed: Medical- Surgical experience (i.e. including- experience with various respiratory diseases/illnesses, renal disease, gi illnesses/diseases, tele, CVC’s, indwelling catheters, heparin gtts, etc)

Procedures performed on unit:

Certifications Required: BLS

 

Dress Code: (Required uniform)

• Navy Blue Scrubs
