Job Description: Occupational Therapist (Home Health)
Location: Alpena, MI 49707
Shift: 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM (8-hour days) - 40 Hour Guarantee
Duration: 13 weeks
Pay: $40 to $45 hourly on W2
Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our home health care team in Alpena, MI. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive occupational therapy services to patients in their homes, helping them improve their ability to perform daily activities and achieve optimal independence.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and social abilities.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patients' needs and goals.
- Utilize therapeutic techniques to improve patients' strength, coordination, and cognitive function.
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises, activities, and strategies to manage daily tasks.
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and physical therapists, to provide holistic care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Adhere to all regulatory and compliance standards in home health care.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid Occupational Therapy license in the state of Michigan.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of one year of experience in occupational therapy, preferably in a home health setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Knowledge of current therapy practices and protocols.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
