Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Labor & Delivery RN to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care, manage labor and delivery processes, and support a safe and comfortable birth experience. This role requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maternal and neonatal health.
Duties
- Manage labor and delivery, providing direct care to mothers and newborns.
- Monitor fetal heart rates and uterine contractions, using advanced fetal monitoring equipment.
- Perform neonatal resuscitation and assess newborns immediately post-birth.
- Administer medications and support pain management as needed.
- Document all procedures accurately in electronic health record systems, such as Epic or Meditech.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain patient safety standards.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an RN in labor and delivery or a high-acuity maternal care setting.
- Experience in high-volume or urban healthcare settings is preferred.
Requirements
- Active California RN license.
- Certifications in ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and Advanced Fetal Monitoring are required.
- This position is ideal for a detail-oriented and adaptable Labor & Delivery RN who thrives in a patient-centered maternity care environment.
