Location: West Des Moines, IA

Start Date: 12/9/2024

Duration: 13 weeks (Travel Assignment)

Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, 48 hours/week with OT after 40 hours

Weekend Requirement: Every other or every 3rd weekend, including holiday rotation

On Call: None

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Care: Deliver high-quality care by applying the nursing process and adhering to best practices.
• Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Contribute your nursing expertise to a team-based approach, ensuring comprehensive patient management.
• Documentation: Use EPIC (EMR) to accurately document patient information, care plans, and any changes in condition.
• Flexible Coverage: Float between Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Iowa Lutheran Hospital, and Methodist West as needed based on your skill set.

Submission Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum 2+ years of recent Med Surg experience (within the last 4 years).
• Travel Experience: Preferred.
• Licensing & Certification: Current Iowa RN license or compact license; BLS certification (AHA).
• Documentation: Work history/resume, skills checklist (within the past year), license verification, and references (highly preferred).

Additional Information:

• COVID-19 Requirement: Travelers must be vaccinated; medical and religious exemptions are available upon request.
• Floating Requirement: Must be willing to float across all UnityPoint campuses within West Des Moines as required.
• Time Off: No more than 7 days off during the 13-week contract.
