Job Description
Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Pay Scale: $2000 to $2100/week
Shift: Days
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) position in Phoenix, AZ. In this role, you will provide high-level nursing care to critically ill patients in an ICU setting. You will monitor and manage a variety of complex medical conditions requiring intensive interventions. Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Provide advanced nursing care to critically ill patients, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and performing necessary interventions.
- Critical Care: Provide life-saving care and interventions for patients with life-threatening conditions, such as respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, or severe trauma.
- Assessment & Care Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' conditions, develop individualized care plans, and adjust plans as necessary based on patient response and progress.
- Collaboration: Work closely with ICU physicians, intensivists, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and coordinated care for critically ill patients.
- Patient Monitoring: Use advanced monitoring equipment to continuously assess patients’ vitals, including cardiac rhythms, oxygen levels, and neurological status, ensuring timely interventions.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation of patient assessments, treatments, medications, and procedures in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Emergency Procedures: Respond to code blue situations, assist with resuscitation efforts, and provide support during emergency procedures.
- Patient Education: Educate patients (when appropriate) and families about critical care, recovery expectations, and aftercare instructions.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and hospital policies to maintain a safe, sterile, and efficient ICU environment.
- Equipment Operation: Operate and troubleshoot advanced ICU equipment such as ventilators, infusion pumps, ECG machines, and hemodynamic monitoring systems.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience, with at least 1 year in an ICU setting.
- Licensure: Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona (or eligibility to obtain).

Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – Required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification – Required
- Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification – Preferred
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification – Preferred
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) – Preferred
- Skills: Strong clinical assessment skills, expertise in critical care procedures, and the ability to manage life-threatening conditions with minimal supervision.
- Travel Requirements: Must have your own vehicle for this assignment.
- Soft Skills: Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure, fast-paced environments, and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
