Job Description

Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room (ER)

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Pay Scale: $2000 to $2100/week

Shift: Nights


Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for an Emergency Room (ER) position in Phoenix, AZ. In this role, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a fast-paced emergency department setting, managing a variety of critical and non-critical conditions. Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care: Deliver immediate and comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting with emergency conditions, injuries, and illnesses in a high-acuity environment.
  • Triage: Perform initial assessments and triage incoming patients to prioritize care based on severity.
  • Critical Care: Provide life-saving care, including advanced monitoring, IV therapy, wound care, and administering medications, as necessary.
  • Assessment & Care Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' conditions, formulate individualized care plans, and adjust care as needed based on patient response.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, ER techs, and other healthcare providers to ensure timely diagnosis, treatment, and patient outcomes.
  • Patient Education: Provide patients and families with information on their medical conditions, treatment options, discharge instructions, and aftercare to promote recovery.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate, complete, and timely documentation of assessments, treatments, procedures, and patient responses in the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Emergency Procedures: Assist in emergency procedures, including resuscitations, trauma care, and patient stabilization.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to infection control standards, safety protocols, and hospital policies to provide a safe and effective care environment.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain emergency medical equipment, including defibrillators, ventilators, and monitoring devices, and ensure proper sterilization and functioning.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience, with at least 1 year in an Emergency Room (ER) setting.
  • Licensure: Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona (or eligibility to obtain).
  • Certifications:
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – Required
    • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification – Required
    • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification – Preferred
    • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) – Preferred
