Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
Location: Outpatient Facility, Castro Valley, CA 95682
Shift: Days
Duration: 13 Weeks
Pay Rate: $55 to $60 per hour (W2)
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our outpatient facility in Castro Valley, CA. This is a temporary 13-week assignment with day shifts, offering an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment that focuses on patient-centered care.
Responsibilities:

Patient Care: Assist physical therapists in the treatment of patients by implementing care plans designed to help patients regain their physical capabilities and improve mobility.

Therapeutic Interventions: Conduct therapeutic exercises and modalities, under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist, to enhance the patient's strength, balance, coordination, and overall functional abilities.

Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient treatments, progress, and responses in compliance with professional and facility standards.

Communication: Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate care, share patient progress, and ensure continuity of care. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers to provide education and support.

Equipment Management: Ensure the cleanliness, maintenance, and appropriate use of therapy equipment and supplies.

Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and compliance requirements, including HIPAA regulations and facility policies.
Qualifications:

Education: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.

Licensure: Current PTA license in the state of California.

Experience: Preferably one year of experience in an outpatient setting, but new graduates are welcome to apply.

Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, move, and transport patients as necessary, and perform physical activities required for patient care.
