Job Description: Perm Physical Therapist Assistant

Location: York, PA 17402

Shift: 35 hours, Monday - Friday (Weekend rotation required)

Salary Range: $28 - $33 Hourly on W2

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team in York, PA. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality care to patients, assisting them in improving their mobility, relieving pain, and enhancing their physical capabilities. The role requires adherence to treatment plans, patient education, and accurate documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Physical Therapist in implementing treatment plans for patients.
  • Conduct therapy sessions including exercises, stretches, and the use of therapeutic modalities.
  • Monitor and document patient progress and responses to treatments.
  • Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, home exercises, and injury prevention.
  • Maintain a clean and organized treatment area.
  • Adhere to ethical and professional standards of conduct as set by regulatory bodies.
  • Participate in weekend rotation as required.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Valid state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Pennsylvania.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Prior experience in a clinical or healthcare setting is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and move patients as needed.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and physical activity.
  • Manual dexterity and physical strength to assist patients with exercises and movements.
