Join Our Team: Certified Pharmacist Role with Evolve HCR

  • Position: Pharmacist
  • Location: Panama City, FL
  • Start Date: 6th Jan 2025
  • Employment Type: 13 weeks Contract
  • Shift:  Variable(8:00am-5:30pm- 6:00am- 4:30pm 9:30am-8:00pm, 12pm-10:30pm--7on7off-the shifts are always subject to change  based on the needs of the department.)
  • Pay: $63/hour
  • Gross Weekly: $2,268/week
  • Expected Hours: 36 per week

•                            Number of Beds :  222

                             Patient Ratios :

•                           Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : PHARMACY TECHNICIAN

•                           Type of equipment :  MEDITECH, PYXIS

•                           Documentation system:  MEDITECH

•                           Scheduling requirements:  1400-2230, WEEKENDS, 1000-1830, 0600-1430, 0500-1330 (ALL SHIFTS)

•                           Floating policy:  NO FLOATING

•                           Patient Experience requirements:  NONE

Hospital Specifics-

•                        Certifications:  FL PHARMACY REGISTRATION

Must have:  candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

  • FL PHARMACY TECHNICIAN REGISTRATION
  • Advanced skills needed: IV COMPOUNDING EXPERIENCE A PLUS

  • Procedures performed on unit:  RESTOCK PYXIS, COMPOUNDING, IV COMPOUNDING, HOURLY ROUNDS TO THE UNITS FOR MEDICATION DELIVERIES

  • Certifications Required:  FL PHARMACY TECHNICIAN REGISTRATION

  • SSN, DL, Covid Card Mandatory

Dress Code: (Required uniform)

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Medication Dispensing: Accurately dispense prescriptions and counsel patients on proper medication usage.
  2. Patient Counseling: Advise patients on the safe use of medications, possible side effects, and interactions.
  3. Collaboration: Work with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal medication therapy.
  4. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with legal, ethical, and safety standards.
  5. Inventory Management: Oversee the management of pharmaceutical supplies and stock.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Pharmacist status required (RPh or PharmD).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of pharmacology and medication safety.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.
