Any traveler not currently in possession of an active State of HI license must apply upon acceptance of offer. Candidate must have Hawaii License by start of assignment.Proof of flu vaccination or facility approved application for medical or religious exception will be required prior to contract start date. Flu vaccination can be administered during employee health clearance appointment.This is a 34-bed post-surgical(adults)unit.General Job duties. Types of procedures required.Standard RPN III duties/skills. Knowledgeable in surgical pre/postoperative care.Equipment utilized in the unit/dept.Vital signs machines; IV & PCA pumps; EMR charting; Pyxis. Chest tubes, suctions, SCDs.Required skills and minimum years of experience.Standard RPN III skills (at least 1-2 yrs. experience) in order to be proficient in duties and role as a registered nurse; strong work experience in pre/postoperative nursing i.e., abdominal surgeries, like lap chole/Appy, resections, and mastectomies, thyroidectomies, chest tubes, different drainages, etc. Also, orthopedic nursing, like hip/shoulder arthroplasties, etc.Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required.REQUIRED: BLS. ACLS. Shift or schedule requirements.13-week contract. Surgical is a 12-hr. shift unit. No 'on call' requirement. Must be able to work Shifts/Weekends. Must be flexible. Floating to other units/departments.RNs are expected to float, if needed. Some units are: Medical, ER, pull nurse.Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept.Max 34 bed unit.Nurse to patient ratio of this unit.1 RN to 6 patients.Dress Code:Regular nursing uniforms. Clean/Neat with covered shoes, name badge.  No excessive jewelry; No perfume/strong cologne. Fingernails should be short.RN Travelers' orientation covers HR, EMR education with Pyxis, as well as other nursing education.

Shift: 13-week contract. Surgical is a 12-hr. shift unit. No 'on call' requirement. Must be able to work Shifts/Weekends. Must be flexible.
