Job Description

Position: Registered Nurse - Ortho Trauma/PCU

Location: Plano, TX

Pay Scale: $1800

Shift: Nights 7:00PM - 7:00AM

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care for patients in the orthopedic trauma and progressive care unit (PCU).
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, documenting changes and updating care plans accordingly.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
• Administer medications, perform wound care, and manage equipment such as monitors and ventilators as required.
• Educate patients and families on care plans, recovery processes, and health maintenance strategies.
• Maintain accurate and thorough medical records for all patients.
• Stay up-to-date with advancements in orthopedic and trauma care practices.

Requirements

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Experience in Ortho Trauma or PCU preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Excellent critical thinking, organizational, and communication skills.
