Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse for our ICU unit. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients, closely monitor their conditions, and collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal care. This role requires strong clinical skills, the ability to manage complex patient needs, and a commitment to providing compassionate and effective care.
Duties
- Monitor and assess the condition of critically ill patients in the ICU, including continuous observation and intervention.
- Collaborate with physicians, intensivists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Manage ventilators, IV drips, and other life-saving devices.
- Provide support to families, explaining conditions, treatment plans, and next steps in recovery.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records using electronic health record systems such as Epic or Meditech.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and patient safety standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient outcomes and ICU efficiency.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in ICU or a similar critical care setting.
- Experience with high-acuity patients, ventilators, and complex procedures is preferred.
Requirements
- Active CA State RN license.
- BLS and ACLS certification required.
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
