Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our Long-Term Care (LTC) team in Kane, PA. As an LVN, you will provide high-quality nursing care to our residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This is an excellent opportunity for new graduates looking to start their nursing careers in a supportive and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with daily living activities.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for residents.
- Monitor and document changes in residents’ conditions and report to the appropriate medical staff.
- Assist with wound care, dressing changes, and other medical procedures as needed.
- Ensure that residents’ rights are respected and that they receive respectful, compassionate care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of residents’ care and progress.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other healthcare team members.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with best practices in long-term care.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid LVN license in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- Willingness to work night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including lifting and moving residents as necessary.
