Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant
Location: Walnut Creek, CA 94595
Job Types: 13 Weeks Contract/Full time
Salary: $40 to $45 hourly on W2
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team in Walnut Creek, CA. The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide therapy services to patients, helping them improve their ability to perform daily activities. This role is essential for supporting the overall treatment plan and enhancing patient care outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Collecting, assessing, and recording required patient information such as medical history.
- Implementing treatment plans and helping patients perform therapeutic activities.
- Instructing patients and their families in the skills and techniques of a treatment program.
- Monitoring patients' performance and providing encouragement.
- Documenting patients' progress, attitudes, and behaviour.
- Maintaining accurate patient treatment records.
- Maintaining the work area and equipment and ordering supplies.
- Attending meetings to review treatments and patient progress.
Requirements:
- Graduate from an ACOTE accredited occupational therapy assistant program.
- License or certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the relevant state.
- COVID Vaccination/ Health Documents/ License/ Physical.
