Job Description: Respiratory Therapist
Location: Berlin, NH 03570
Shift:
- Shift Three
- 12-hour nights with occasional day shifts as needed
- 36 hours guaranteed per week
Duration: 13 weeks
Pay Rate: $50 to $55 hourly on W2
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team in Berlin, NH. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality respiratory care to patients, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through comprehensive assessment, treatment, and education.
Responsibilities:
- Perform respiratory care procedures as per physician orders and established protocols.
- Administer respiratory therapy treatments, including oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and ventilator management.
- Conduct patient assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of respiratory therapy.
- Monitor patient responses and adjust treatments as necessary.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families on respiratory therapies and equipment usage.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Ensure all equipment is properly cleaned, sterilized, and maintained.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
- Participate in shift change handoffs and provide thorough reports on patient status.
Qualifications:
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license in the state of New Hampshire.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credentials.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in respiratory therapy.
- Proficiency in the use of respiratory care equipment and techniques.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Flexibility to work 12-hour night shifts with occasional day shifts.
