Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Preparing and dispensing medication
•Pharmacy technicians prepare, measure, mix, and calculate medication amounts, and then dispense them to patients or health professionals.
•They also prepare sterile medications, create medication labels, and review medication orders.
Maintaining inventory
•Pharmacy technicians maintain drug and supply inventory, order supplies, and check goods received against purchase orders.
•They also review pharmacy stock for expired drugs.
Assisting with administrative tasks
•Pharmacy technicians may help pharmacists with administrative tasks such as processing insurance claims, tracking inventory, and filing paperwork.
Communicating with patients
•Pharmacy technicians liaise with patients to ensure the effective and safe use of medicines.
Working in a team
•Pharmacy technicians are key members of the pharmacy and multidisciplinary teams.
Located in the Beautiful Marin County, California. Marin Health Medical Center is seeking a Pharmacy Technicians with following experiences.
- Must have Pyxis and Narc handling experience, Patient medication reconciliation experience would be a huge plus!
- Current and unencumbered California Pharmacy Tech license.
- Interested candidates must be willing to work AM/PM rotating shifts with every other weekend.
- AM shifts start time (0700, 0730, 0930). PM shifts start time (1400, 1500, 1700).
